About the role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and integration of long-range enterprise strategy and planning frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality internal and external reporting, including strategic plans.
  • Interpret complex data and policy signals and provide system-level advice to guide positioning.
  • Offer authoritative guidance on economic trends, and the feasibility and implications of strategic directions.
  • Develop insights to inform strategic messaging and support the communication of vision and outcomes.
  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning.
  • Steward the insight ecosystem - connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and the academic community to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes thought leadership.
  • Partner with agencies to ensure alignment with national policy agendas.
  • Represent the organization in external forums and participate in relevant communities of practice.
  • Build strategic capability across the organization by modelling analytical rigour, collaboration, and clear direction.
  • Lead a high-performing team with a shared commitment to integrity, evidence-based decision-making, and public service outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy, data science, business administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in public sector strategy, performance reporting, or regulatory reform.
  • High-level critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities.
  • Strong track record in senior stakeholder engagement and executive advising.
  • Demonstrated established credibility in both domestic and international forums.
  • Proven capability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-trust environments.
