About the Role

Rokon Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Advisor to support one of our regions. As a passionate HSEQ professional, you will be the safety expert for a defined region and drive the culture by providing advice, coaching and support to all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of HSEQ strategy and execution, moving the organisation towards recognised best practice.
  • Develop, implement and monitor processes and programs to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers.
  • Actively promote, coach and be a recognised champion of workplace safety to employees, sub-contractors and visitors.
  • Contribute to maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure that all elements of the system are applicable, functional and compliant with OFSC, Client and Regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the start-up of new projects including the development of project risk assessments.
  • Review, update and support the implementation of SWMS, EMPS etc.
  • Conduct health and safety audits and inspections.
  • Lead/incident investigations.

About You

  • Diploma in WHS or equivalent preferred.
  • Three years' safety experience in a stand-alone role.
  • Experience within the civil construction industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding and interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Strong understanding of AS/NZS ISO 45001, AS/NZS ISO 9001 and AS/NZS 14001.
  • Self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent engagement, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and reporting.
  • Exposure to working within a Federal Safety Accredited business will be highly regarded.
