Customs Clearance Specialist

As a Customs Clearance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our team by processing and classifying import/export shipments within Cargowise.
Clearance must be performed within specified timeframes, requiring effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Your work will be completed according to pre-determined performance metrics, demonstrating your ability to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
To excel in this role, you must possess either enrollment in the Diploma of Customs Brokering national course or completion of it. A minimum of two years' experience in the industry is also required. Furthermore, excellent communication skills and Microsoft Suite experience are essential for success in this position. References must be provided.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as analytical skills combined with lateral thinking abilities. They will be driven to succeed within the Customs Brokering and Forwarding environment and able to work effectively in a flexible roster split between work from home and office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and classify import/export shipments within Cargowise.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clearance deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Meet performance metrics and demonstrate exceptional results.
