Job Title

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and outcome-driven Health, Safety and Environment Professional to lead our Transport division supporting a major roads project in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and support to the project, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental management systems.

  • Providing key support in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies, management plans, and associated procedures;
  • Actively implementing all HSE initiatives;
  • Conducting regular routine HSE audits, programs, and inspections;
  • Completing incident/injury investigations as required;
  • Assisting in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative and contractual compliance in relation to health, safety, and environmental requirements and workplace practices;
  • Ensuring that HSE risks related to operation and maintenance activities are properly managed;
  • Overseeing and participating in inductions, training, etc.;

We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering positive client outcomes and effective stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in engaging and liaising with various stakeholders, including front-line staff, supervisors/managers, senior managers, industry specialists, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
  • Current driver's licence;
  • Tertiary OH&S qualifications;
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Experience in problem-solving and dealing with complex issues;
