Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Leader to join our team at the Sofitel Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the operations of Club Millesime and Room Service, ensuring that service standards are followed with a friendly and engaging attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and engaging service to all guests from arrival to departure
  • Supervise and support the operations of Club Millesime and Room Service
  • Ensure that all hotel and department policies and procedures are understood by ambassadors
  • Greet and respond to requests for all VIP guests, providing exceptional service at every step of the journey
  • Maintain product knowledge of all menus and wine lists to advise and make recommendations to guests
  • Promote the hotel facilities and enhance guest experiences through up-selling
  • Deliver personalized service with passion and professionalism
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly to ensure memorable moments
  • Conduct pre-arrival communications to provide local knowledge and advice
  • Anticipate guests' needs and promote various hotel services
  • Champion return guest recognition programs, driving personalized service aligned with Heartist principles

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with confidence in all aspects of VIP club and Room Service operations
  • Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Prior experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Opera or a related PMS system, with POS experience an asset
  • Strong service skills, with confidence in all aspects of service
  • Availability across a variety of shifts, including breakfast and night shifts, across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards all areas of work
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to lead by example
  • Valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Full Australian working rights
