Job Opportunity: Mixed Livestock Farm Management

We are seeking a skilled and experienced stockman to join our team as an Assistant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our 14,000-acre farm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing animal husbandry tasks efficiently
  • Maintaining and upgrading farm infrastructure and machinery
  • Developing and implementing projects to enhance farm productivity

The successful applicant will be responsible for mustering and livestock movement using horses and quad bikes. A strong team of working dogs is essential for this role, and the ability to utilise both horses and bikes is required.

Pivot irrigation is used for fodder cropping, and rostered weekend work is necessary to monitor the irrigation system every fourth week.

Holdings of HR licence and Chem cert are advantageous, while the ability to operate general farm machinery is essential.

Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a team are crucial for success in this role. The willingness to work closely with the hands-on owner is also necessary.
