About the Role
  • Lead the organisation's critical corporate and operational functions, including finance, ICT, HR, legal, governance, risk, procurement, strategy, and performance.
  • Ensure the organisation aligns its people, systems, and operations with its strategic plan.

This role is central to advancing Queensland's economic prosperity by ensuring the organisation has the capability, agility, and leadership to deliver on strategic priorities.

About You

You are a proven senior executive who thrives in complex, high-profile environments. With experience leading large corporate and operational functions, ideally in government or globally connected organisations, you bring:

  • Deep knowledge of trade, investment, economic development, and Queensland's sectoral strengths.
  • Strong governance, risk, and compliance expertise.
  • Exceptional leadership capability, able to inspire high-performing executive teams and drive organisational reform.
  • Outstanding political judgement and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with boards, ministers, and central agencies.
  • A global outlook, with international literacy and understanding of Australia's trade and diplomatic relationships.
