Base pay range

A$120,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr

Join a national leader in delivering end-to-end water treatment solutions. This is a full-scope design and commissioning role – perfect for a process engineer ready to take ownership from concept to commissioning.

About the Role:

This is a technically diverse role suited to a hands-on Process Engineer with experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment. You'll work across the full design lifecycle – from calculations, modelling, and PFD/P&ID development through to site commissioning.

  • Design process solutions for municipal water treatment plants, from concept through to commissioning.
  • Conduct basic calculations, develop process designs, and ensure integration across all engineering disciplines
  • Travel to site for commissioning – supporting smooth handover and real-world performance
  • Work closely with drafting and engineering teams to ensure plans are understood and executed as intended
  • Apply your process engineering background while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and civil teams

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in process engineering for municipal water or wastewater projects
  • Ability to interpret and work confidently from plans and technical drawings
  • Strong grasp of the full design lifecycle – not just isolated components, You must have end to end experience.
  • Understanding of other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) and how they interact with process design
  • Willingness to travel for commissioning activities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or related)
