Software Lifecycle Manager

Job Description

This role involves overseeing the entire software asset lifecycle, ensuring optimal visibility, control, and compliance across the enterprise. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust policies and procedures aligned with ITIL best practices to support this goal.

Key responsibilities include managing a centralised software asset repository using platforms like ServiceNow or similar tools, monitoring software usage, entitlements, installations, and licensing across diverse environments and vendors. Additionally, you will need to identify cost-saving opportunities through usage analysis and licensing optimisation.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in software asset management within mid-to-large scale ICT environments.
  • Deep understanding of licensing frameworks for major vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMware).
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow for asset discovery and compliance tracking.
  • Strong grasp of ITIL principles, especially in Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and executive levels.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, insightful reports and dashboards for strategic decision-making.
