We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to provide a high-quality education and care program for children aged 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate an educational program that supports the holistic approach to the care and development of children.
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, and professionals to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Engage in reflective learning teams exploring and implementing the Reggio Emilia approach to learning and nature pedagogy.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working in early childhood services.
- Working knowledge of regulations, standards, frameworks, and codes.
- Desirable: Inclusion Support experience.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Training undertaken in responding to abuse and neglect (RRHAN-EC).
Selection Criteria:
- Ability to design an emergent play-based curriculum from a biblical perspective with a focus on social and emotional development, language development, thinking and problem-solving skills, and foundational literacy and numeracy.
- Understanding of assessment and pedagogical documentation.
- Creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Developing healthy relationships of mutual respect with children, families, and colleagues.
- Embracing ethical reflective teaching practice, nature pedagogy, and Reggio principles.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQFv2), regulations, and standards.
- Effective communication skills.
- Contribution to a Professional Learning Team.
