
Senior Disability Support Specialist

We are one of the largest providers to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their family.
The role involves providing therapeutic services to participants, assessing their developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments. The successful candidate will interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant and provide evidence-based interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals.

To be successful in this role, you will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist, excellent time management and organisational skills, a pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills, experience in mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists, and a genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services
- Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
- Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
