Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Procurement Specialist to join our team at Technical Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing blueprints and product specifications to determine material requirements, documenting necessary information, and adjusting quantities based on inventory and orders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Material Requirements Planning: Review blueprints and product specifications to accurately determine the amount of materials needed.
  • Documentation: Document overall material needs, including codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders.
  • Inventory Management: Adjust amounts for existing inventory and for orders of conventional sizes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree or equivalent in a related field or applicable discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Full knowledge of principles and practices within a discipline.
  • Proficient communication skills to convey ideas and concepts.
  • Able to influence participation in proposal preparation and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the field.
About You:

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the engineering team, assist in maintenance and operation of a materials control system, and provide receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment. Your work will be subject to practices and procedures, and you may require periodic review with other teams or work groups.
