Job Summary

Technical Resources is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, with a strong background in the engineering or construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor procurement activities to ensure timely issuance of inquiries, evaluation of tenders, and awarding of purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure the best prices and delivery terms for equipment that meets project requirements.
  • Perform commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to select the most appropriate supplier.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with business partners and suppliers to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient system for tracking vendor data and goods.
  • Implement and monitor the procurement schedule to align with the overall delivery timeline.
  • Review all orders to ensure details match original tender requests and client-approved ATCs.
  • Liaise with the Project team to prepare project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the professional development of Procurement team members through mentoring and identifying growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics.
  • Proven experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems.
  • Strong knowledge of international and local tendering practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a positive environment for stakeholder management and customer support.
