Doctors Health Fund is seeking a Healthcare Claims Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare claims and be able to accurately assess and process hospital claims in line with the organisation's rules, policies, and procedures.
About the RoleThis is a key role that involves working closely with members, providers, and third-party organisations to deliver exceptional service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately assess claims in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing clear and timely communication with members, providers, and third parties.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of systems and products.
- Deliver clear, professional, and respectful written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work towards individual and team KPIs, take ownership of outcomes, and share knowledge with peers to drive success.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- HSC or equivalent preferred.
- Customer service background.
- Insurance or health industry experience.
- Data entry and administrative experience.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and ability to adapt to new technology.
