Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Crisis Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical support to individuals affected by violent crime, empowering them to navigate the justice system and achieve recovery.

About the Role:
  • Respond to crisis situations, providing expert advice and guidance to victims of violent crime.
  • Liaise with other victim services, including Family Violence and Sexual Assault Services.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement individualised plans to support victims' recovery and safety.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments to identify risk factors and develop strategies for mitigation.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in trauma-related fields.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Welfare, or a relevant equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a trauma-related field, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong case management and intake skills.
  • Proficiency in risk identification and management, including the MARAM framework.
