Community Chaplain: Bellambi

About the Role:

The Community Chaplain is a key member of the Anglicare team, providing pastoral care and support to individuals and families in the Bellambi community. This role requires a strong Christian faith, a capacity to build relationships, and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.

As a Community Chaplain, you will work under the leadership of St Michaels Wollongong Cathedral and will be responsible for developing relationships with local community groups, churches, and other stakeholders. You will also provide support and guidance to individuals and families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing pastoral care and support to individuals and families
• Developing relationships with local community groups, churches, and stakeholders
• Engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Supporting individuals and families to live a full life and achieve their goals
• Communicating the Christian message clearly and effectively

Requirements:

• Strong Christian faith and values
• Ability to build relationships and engage with people from diverse backgrounds
• Capacity to provide pastoral care and support to individuals and families
• Experience in children and family ministry (highly desirable)
• Ability to communicate the Christian message clearly and effectively
