Geospatial Analyst Position

This role is focused on leveraging geospatial expertise to drive innovation in data analysis and deliver insights that inform business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain interactive mapping solutions and spatial data products to enable open data accessibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct spatial analysis, extract insights, and produce reports, presentations, and visualisations to support operational, strategic, and regulatory decision-making.
  • Act as a technical leader in spatial analytics, contributing to the management of the Geospatial Data Domain and driving improvements in systems and processes.
Key Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in GIS, Spatial Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in utilities or infrastructure sectors; understanding of network operations, asset management systems, and relevant standards.
  • Proficiency with spatial platforms (e.g., QGIS), Databricks, and FME; knowledge of electrical networks or utility systems.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience evaluating and improving systems and processes; proficient with Microsoft productivity tools.
