Job Opportunity

A leading rail freight operator is seeking a qualified locomotive driver to operate trains on mainline, shunting and marshalling tasks.

The ideal candidate will have extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience, as well as a Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Examine and certify trains for departure.
  • Maintain high safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Ensure timely train departures.
  • Conduct brake testing on locomotives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to meet business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and strive for a positive work environment.
  • Be available for 24/7 shift rosters.
  • Prior experience in NSW & Qld Safe Working systems is an advantage.
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's license.
