
Engineering Project Specialist

A structural project engineer is responsible for performing analysis and detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of bridges and roadway structures to support a wide range of projects, offering the opportunity to mentor and guide junior staff and be mentored by top local experts in the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analysis and detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures that conform with acceptable design standards.
- Prepare engineering calculations and sketches, review drawings and BIM Models.
- Manage multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within required timeframes.
- Perform and assist in QA/QC of final design packages prior to issuing for construction.
- Communicate with staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.
- Provide written and verbal reports to tight deadlines regarding multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- At least 6 years' experience in Structural Engineering on Transportation/Roadway projects.
- Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering equipment.
