  This role will deploy commodity strategy in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on rolling stock and maintenance projects that meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) requirements.

  The successful candidate will support global and local supplier panel relationships, managing workload, contract negotiation, and supplier performance.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and launching Request for Quotation;
  • Monitoring Procurement project QCDT and legal project evolution;
  • Promoting and supporting new buying channels;
  • Coordinating with Project teams;
  • Vendor selection, evaluation, negotiation of contracts, and Business Award preparation;
  • Vendor onboarding until panel validation;
  • Closely working with Commodity manager teams on high-value project requirements and upfront activities;
  • Generating innovative ideas for increased process efficiency and cost reduction;
  • Applying the Alstom Procurement process and providing return of experience.

  Requirements:

  • A degree-level qualification;
  • Good knowledge of Indirect procurement, particularly CAPEX-Industrial Equipments and Construction & Refurbishment;
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a proven understanding of commodities;
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP and SAP Ariba;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, willingness to take initiative, autonomy;
  • Good communication, collaboration, and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
