About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and delivering mechanical systems across various projects, contributing to concept and detailed design phases.
Key Responsibilities- System Design and Documentation - Develop hydraulic services designs and documents in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Calculation and Specification Preparation - Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical reports for hydraulic services.
- Project Coordination - Collaborate with internal MEP teams and external consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Site Inspections and Support - Conduct site inspections and provide construction-phase support, including review of shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Compliance and Regulations - Ensure compliance with national and local plumbing codes and environmental requirements.
- Project Delivery and Innovation - Contribute to innovation, sustainability, and water conservation strategies throughout project delivery.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hydraulic services design within a building services consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Proficiency in hydraulic design software and tools.
- Familiarity with green building certifications is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-driven mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (CIBSE, Engineers Australia, etc.) is an advantage.
