About the Role

This is a key position within the Long-Term Planning function, responsible for unlocking the value of Evolution Mining's portfolio through consolidated strategic planning of our underground assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Life of Mine Plan for our North American operations, identifying opportunities for value accretion across the business, and providing guidance on current Evolution and global best practice and innovation in Underground Mine Planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver optimised strategic underground mine plans and schedules
  • Engage with corporate and site stakeholders to collate and integrate sound inputs into possible scenarios
  • Contribute to the identification of risks and opportunities, including critical action development
  • Participate in person, during LOM-Season workshops at the technical hub in Brisbane
  • Assist the Study team in delivery of Mine Extension Studies
  • Collaborate with site teams to align tactical objectives with strategic plans
  • Assist in the development of Ore Reserves in accordance with JORC
  • Leverage innovative solutions to consistently unlock the full value potential of our underground assets
About You

To succeed in this position, you will have proven experience in long-term mine planning or studies, a Bachelor or Masters qualification in mining engineering or related discipline, and significant underground experience in the Mining Industry - preferably Gold.

You will also have the ability to influence and develop Underground Technical Services Management practices, effectively communicate complex process ideas at all levels, and build relationships across functions and operations from Operator to Board level.

Additionally, you will have proven experience at a comparable level within an organisation in either a Group (or significant Site based operation) where you held accountability, delivering operational efficiency, driving accurate and reliable interpretations/decisions, and implementing best practice in both technical and operational areas.

You will also have the understanding and ability to execute mine optimisation processes and software capability to derive and deliver an optimised strategic underground mine plan and schedule.
