About the Role

At FIS, a leading fintech company, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Sydney-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality technical solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and business analysts, to deliver innovative products that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications.
  • Design, develop, debug, and test software enhancements to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate requirements into product designs and modifications.
  • Contribute to Agile scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, design workshops, story grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Provide recommendations on the development of new code or the reuse of existing code.
  • Ensure solutions align with business and IT strategies, comply with organizational architecture, compliance, and security standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in a commercial environment, with a strong background in object-oriented, service-oriented architecture, and domain-driven design.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Angular, JavaScript, WCF, Web Services, NUnit, ADO.NET, HTML5, and CSS.
  • 3+ years of experience with data modeling, database schema design, and SQL programming on SQL Server.
  • Permanent working rights in Australia and ability to work onsite in Sydney.
  • Experience with Microsoft IDE and sound analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Background in corporate treasury, finance knowledge, payment processing, or banking is highly valued.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and coding standards.
