We are seeking a highly skilled Simulator Technician to join our team at CAE Australia. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for performing complex assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory settings.
- Perform a variety of complex tasks, including experimental and design projects, to ensure the smooth operation of our simulators and associated systems.
- Solve complex problems related to simulator and aircraft systems, and provide technical expertise to support the development of new systems and technologies.
- Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assisting in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems, and providing technical support to other technicians.
- Training and mentoring junior technicians in basic skills and providing technical guidance and support.
- Completing all designated training activities and actively pursuing continued professional growth and training to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments.
- Performing pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Performing visual alignments and running and evaluating required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approval Test Guide (ATG)/Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
- Assisting the Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements to improve the performance and functionality of our simulators.
- Pursuing knowledge and skills to enhance your ability as a technical expert and stay ahead of the curve in the industry.
- Performing software changes to correct problems on simulators and associated systems, and identifying and coordinating efforts to correct training deficiencies.
This is a regular full-time position at CAE Australia.
