Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grain Quality Management Specialist to join our team at Bunge. As a key member of our quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of grain quality at our operational sites.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a challenging role in grain quality management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grain quality management, with experience in supervising and executing quality inspection/auditing, sampling, grading, and reporting of grains. They will also have advanced computer skills, including email and spreadsheet use.

Main Accountabilities
  • Work closely with Quality Superintendent to ensure quality procedures are executed up to standard.
  • Execute quality procedures based on Bunge standard.
  • Maintain adequate staff resourcing to support Bunge sites sampling requirements.
  • Revise, update, and implement processes and procedures that cover the transactional capture, sampling, and grading of grain and equipment use required for the sample stand.
  • Generate quality and transactional reports to support the informational flow to other business units (operations, logistics & trade).
  • Training of sample stand staff to perform their duties safely and adequately.
  • Update receival standards and implement the changes both at a sample stand and CSM transactional level.
  • Support the sample stand and sites as point of contact on quality-related matters.
  • Identify any risks associated with grain quality at a site level and alert the wider business.
  • Monitor transactional entries into CSM and SAC for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Reconcile, amend, and improve the process of transactional capture of data at the sample stand.
  • Plan and maintain grain segregations basis business/export requirements.
  • Maintain sample stand equipment and calibrations.
  • Liaising with Growers/Clients re quality/issues.
  • Develop knowledge of site procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Communicate succinctly with Quality Superintendent on all matters relating to the role.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Science or Agriculture preferred.
  • Must have valid Western Australian C class driver's license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Advanced computer skills, including email and spreadsheet use.
  • In-depth understanding of receival standards, quality frameworks, and maintaining grain quality to meet export requirements.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work autonomously, problem solve, and provide direction to staff within the quality department.
  • Ability to understand internal procedures, processes, and policies.
  • DAFF Authorised Officer accreditation is preferred.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, superannuation, and paid annual leave.
