Job Opportunity: Air Quality Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Quality Expert to join our team. As an Air Quality Expert, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects and growing our business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in air quality impact assessments, project management, and client liaison. They will be responsible for undertaking air quality impact assessments, preparing proposals, budget estimates, and project delivery. The successful candidate will also work cooperatively with our staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual who is comfortable working within local regulations and with local regulators. The right person will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. They will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Undertake air quality impact assessments for various clients across Australia.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our offering in Air Quality.
  • Prepare proposals, budget estimates, project management, and delivery of air quality projects.
  • Work cooperatively with our staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects.
  • Work within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as an Air Quality specialist and preferably within a consulting environment.
  • A high level of understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessment methods and analysis.
  • Proficiency in air quality modeling software (e.g., TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL), GIS applications, and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications such as CAQP are highly desirable.
