Family Violence Specialist

This role requires an effective team member who can provide specialist services to adults, children and young people affected by family violence. The position is part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Service established through the Government's Safe at Home initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist services to adults, children and young people in accordance with best practice principles.
  • Working effectively with individuals and families with complex needs.
  • Applying appropriate models of intervention, including those relevant to children and young people's developmental needs.

For this role you will require:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children and young people.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative, working with general supervision and seeking guidance as appropriate.
