Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at a family-owned and operated company with a rich history in the transport industry. Our client requires an individual who can work effectively under pressure and provide exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and serving as per repair order instructions within the service department. They will promote customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to them.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing work as per repair order instructions
  • Advising on additional work required to the workshop foreman
  • Documenting all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommending work not carried out during service and repair
  • Ensuring customer vehicles are left in their original condition (including cleanliness and adjustments)
  • Supervising apprentices and appropriately operating tools and equipment
  • Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Attending dealership and service department meetings and online training
  • Maintaining a neat and clean workshop area and accounting for dealership-owned tools

The ideal candidate will possess a trade certificate, hold relevant driver's licenses, and have excellent communication and time management skills. A professional approach, ability to work under pressure, and positive attitude towards change are also essential.
