Heavy Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our service team at Westar Trucks in Derrimut. As a key member, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers.

Your primary focus will be on identifying and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in heavy vehicles. You will conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.

To ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency, you will utilize diagnostic equipment and software to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues. Collaboration with the service team is essential to ensuring timely and efficient repairs. Providing exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients is also crucial.

This opportunity requires:

  • A Heavy Vehicle Technician qualification.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles, particularly trucks.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and technical systems in heavy vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

On offer is a salary negotiable based on experience, plus overtime. A sign-on bonus of $5000 is available for eligible qualified Heavy Vehicle Technicians.
