Housekeeping Manager Role

As a key member of our hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping department and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout our guest rooms, common areas, and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage housekeeping team operations, recruitment, training, rostering, and timesheet approvals.
  • Cleaning Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and implement 'best practice' processes and policies within the team.
  • Guest Experience: Lead by example in the high standard cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, teaching new starters your style and efficiency.
  • Scheduling and Budgets: Manage deep cleaning schedules, repair escalation, housekeeping projects, and budgets to metrics/targets.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits and checks to ensure compliance within housekeeping.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong and authentic relationships with teammates and guests.
  • Communication: Ensure clear communication between housekeeping and other teams within the hotel.
Requirements
  • Approved Working Rights: Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a Visa with approved working rights).
  • First Aid Certificate: A First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading a team with kindness to achieve outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work together with departments.
