Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Assets & Infrastructure team at Hydro Tasmania. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in developing life cycle asset management strategies that align with our Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP).
Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining an understanding of asset design, performance, and history, conducting assessments to understand condition and identify risks and opportunities, and preparing asset management documentation and technical standards.
You will also provide engineering input into project scoping and investment decision making, working closely with experts in hydropower and other stakeholders to drive process improvements and deliver a renewable tomorrow.
About YouWe are looking for a qualified professional with a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. You should have a strong background in technical writing, with the ability to develop clear and concise technical reports and asset management plans.
Awareness of the ISO 55001 standard for Asset Management is desirable, and you should have solid technical and engineering expertise. You will excel at gathering, researching, and analysing diverse information sources, and be passionate about driving process improvements and delivering results.
