Our company is seeking a Senior Transaction Counsel to play a key role in advising business leaders and deal teams on legal aspects of various business, transactional, corporate and deal matters.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in private practice and in-house, serving as the corporate and transaction counsel for our organisation. This includes:

  • Providing advice on corporate functions, including entity administration, company secretarial, compliance, litigation and corporate governance
  • Supporting deal teams on transaction structuring and legal strategy
  • Managing outside legal counsel undertaking legal transaction due diligence

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing a keen understanding of our organisation's business
  • Participating in transactions as a core member of the deal team
  • Representing our organisation at client meetings and industry events

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 6 to 8 years PQE aggregate private practice and in-house experience
  • Insolvency and restructuring experience required
  • Finance experience, particularly ABL, complex M&A and/or litigation experience is a plus
  • Australian law qualification required, additional qualification in Singapore or New Zealand is a plus
