
Academic Educator Wanted

We are seeking an experienced educator to teach Mathematics and Junior Science at our institution.
Key Responsibilities:- Classroom Teaching:
- Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Teams to enhance instructional practices.
- Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that stimulates academic growth, promotes excellence, and acknowledges the needs of students.
- Plan, prepare, record, evaluate, and report on work undertaken by classes to ensure student success.
- Utilize contemporary pedagogy and high-yield strategies to meet students' individual needs and abilities.
- Identify learner needs and confer with specialist staff as required to provide targeted support.
- Communicate effectively in a clear, respectful, and professional manner to ensure effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Attend all lessons and maintain punctuality to class to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and their families to uphold trust and respect.
- Be proficient in the use of ICTs as a teaching and administrative tool to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' work while maintaining accurate records to track progress.
- Communicate with parents through written reports and parent-teacher interviews to foster open dialogue and collaboration.
- Carry out administrative tasks thoroughly and punctually to ensure seamless operations.
- Other Duties:
- Establish positive working relationships with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment.
- Contribute to the optimal utilization of shared resources to promote productivity and efficiency.
- Undertake supervision duties according to established rosters as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to review and develop the curriculum to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Participate in staff and faculty professional development meetings to stay current with best practices and advancements in education.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in regular professional development opportunities to meet growth and enhance instructional skills as indicated in the AITSL Standards for teachers.
- Contribute to the professional development of other staff members through coaching, mentoring, or peer support.
- Actively participate in coaching to develop self-nominated skills and areas of interest.
- General:
- Attend to other matters appropriate for the position to ensure overall institutional success.
- Demonstrate respect for and commitment to the Catholic ethos and values.
- Exhibit a strong sense of duty and loyalty to the employer.
- Ensure appropriate behavior when engaging with children to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Act as a team member supporting the philosophy and ethos of the team to promote unity and cooperation.
