About the Role

World Trail is seeking a skilled Trail Builder to join our team for the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination Project in Victoria. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality trail products through hard work and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trail Construction
    • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery to groom and shape trails.
    • Clear vegetation, remove debris, and prepare pathways for machinery.
    • Move and position rocks for rock armouring, walls, bridges, boardwalks, and drainage solutions.
    • Shape and apply the finishing touches to trail features, including berms, jumps, and rollers.
    • Ensure safety, maintain equipment and tools, manage time effectively, and test ride completed trails.
  • Construction Team Support
    • Collaborate with Trail Designers, Machine Operators, and Site Supervisor to ensure world-class trail construction.
    • Implement and adhere to project-specific environmental controls.
Requirements
  • Understanding of mountain biking culture and sport.
  • Construction Induction White Card (or obtain before starting).
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Willingness to relocate to project areas and live in shared accommodation with other team members (relocation assistance provided).
  • Commitment to preserving natural and cultural values of the construction site.
  • Trade qualification or experience in landscaping, construction, or similar fields.
  • Experience in mountain bike trail construction.
  • Advanced chainsaw operation skills.
  • Experience with machinery such as mini-excavators and compactors.
  • First Aid certification.
Location

Warburton, Victoria (with potential for travel to other locations).
