Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Capital Projects Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning and execution of mining capital projects.

As a key member of our team, you will provide technical direction and leadership to ensure that projects are well-planned from the start. You will lead the development of practical and effective solutions for various project scenarios and oversee project planning and approvals.

You will also be responsible for managing the full delivery, control, and closure of all approved projects, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting on the capital plan to ensure financial health and transparency.

In addition, you will ensure that all projects strictly comply with project delivery and authorization procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural/Civil disciplines.
  • Prior experience working on both mechanical and electrical projects is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry is essential.
  • Ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders through various techniques including presentations and regular reporting.
  • A business improvement and customer focus perspective, as well as an appreciation of engineering alliance relationship structures.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple projects concurrently.
