Job Overview

The Role
  • We seek an educator who can use explicit teaching strategies and effective classroom management to enhance learning and wellbeing.
  • Collaborative work, effective communication, and active contribution to team planning and professional learning are essential for this role.
  • This position requires teaching across K–6, ideally with experience in evidence-based programs such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH), and explicit individualised learning strategies.
  • Candidates must be able to integrate Information Communication Technology (ICT) and assistive technologies effectively across all learning areas.
  • Fostering positive relationships with students and families using proactive, inclusive approaches and Positive Behaviour Support strategies is crucial.

A sound understanding of the Language, Literature, and Literacy strands of the Australian Curriculum is necessary for success in this role.

Eligibility and Requirements
  • A teacher qualification and registration are required.
  • Candidates must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the duration of the appointment.
  • An application for a WA Working with Children Check must be submitted before commencing, and candidates must also obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit prior to commencement.
