About the Role:

The Senior Health Assessor is a key leadership position within our Medical Assessment Centre, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and phlebotomists, to ensure the provision of excellent patient care and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medical Assessment Centre, including staff recruitment, training, and development.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including quality assurance and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party providers, including medical equipment suppliers and pathology services.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Requirements:

  • Phlebotomy qualifications and current APHRA registration.
  • Tertiary healthcare professional qualifications or equivalent experience in nursing or a related field.
  • Previous leadership and management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
