Cloud Engineer Job Description

As a cloud engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems. You will work with our team to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is always available, responsive, and capable of meeting the diverse needs of our customers.

The goal of our platform engineering team is to make it easy for our service teams to build and run production systems. As an experienced engineer in platform engineering, you will help re-architect our platform to run on public, private, and hybrid clouds and to allow for frequent, predictable, and high-impact changes.

You will work closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems and provide expertise in cloud computing, networking, and security. Your skills will enable us to automate business processes, unify data, and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems
  • Work with our team to ensure our cloud infrastructure is always available and responsive
  • Help re-architect our platform to run on public, private, and hybrid clouds
  • Provide expertise in cloud computing, networking, and security
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience designing, building and architecting software in an enterprise software or SaaS/PaaS environment
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language and comfortable working with object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience driving projects to impact
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
