Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive professional to join our team as an Alumni Relations Coordinator. This role plays a key part in nurturing and strengthening connections with the alumni community through creative events, programs, and strategic initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive program of alumni engagement activities and events aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with the alumni community, increasing their involvement and support.
  • Organize reunions, professional networking events, and annual gatherings.
  • Manage the alumni database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple channels including social media and the organization's website.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to expand engagement opportunities.
  • Work alongside volunteers and archivists to create meaningful event experiences and exhibitions.
  • Identify potential supporters and strategic partners to facilitate fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist in developing a long-term alumni engagement strategy, including activity planning and budgeting.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of alumni programs, using data to continuously improve outcomes.
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of alumni relations best practices, ideally within an educational setting, and an awareness of its link to fundraising.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, comfortable leading or supporting teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with similar software is a plus.
