Task Management Specialist

As a Task Management Specialist, you will oversee complex tasks to enhance the capabilities of Defence's F/A-18 Super Hornet and EA-18 Growler Fleet in support of achieving Defence capability outcomes.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the management of assigned tasks within the Operations Team.
  • Earn responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all task goals are achieved, customer expectations met or exceeded.
  • Maintain and improve customer/client satisfaction through task planning, control, and reporting.
  • Coordinate task deliverables according to requirements.
  • Engage in key communication and stakeholder management for assigned tasks.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Hold a tertiary or trade qualification relevant to aircraft maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Defence Aviation maintenance environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent required.
  • Proven understanding of defence environment with minimum 2 years' experience in Project Management and/or Engineering/Maintenance on Defence sustainment support projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Able to obtain and maintain Australian Defence security clearance.
  • Ability to meet Raytheon Certified PM Ready or Leading at Level 5 in Acquisition and Sustainment requirements.
  • Understanding of financial cost control using earned value principles.
