
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

We are seeking experienced engineers to lead our maintenance team at a Hobart/Cambridge Airport facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Manage rosters, manpower and resources to ensure effective operational outcomes under a performance-based contract.
- Leadership Excellence: Provide mentoring, leadership and performance management as the front-line operational leader for the AMO team.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies by the AMO team.
- Facilities Management: Ensure facilities meet aviation maintenance organisational (AMO) minimum operating environment (MOE) and regulatory standards.
- Safety and Quality: Promote and support reporting culture for all safety and quality-related matters, including facilitating and supporting risk assessments and investigations.
- Aircraft Inspections: Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.
- Aircraft Maintenance and Repair: Execute maintenance tasks, repairs and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.
- Aircraft Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in aircraft maintenance, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and excellent communication skills.
Requirements:- CASA Part 66 B1.3 or B2 Licence.
- B412 Type Rating - Mandatory.
- H145-D3 Type Rating (Desirable).
- Full-time working rights in Australia - Mandatory.
- Prior Experience as an SBE or other leadership/supervisory role (Desirable).
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components and their maintenance requirements.
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and standards, particularly regarding airworthiness and maintenance control.
- Experience and/or knowledge of risk assessment process, WHS, environmental policies (Desirable).
- Experience or knowledge of Part 42 CAMO regulatory framework (Desirable).
- An understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team.
- Be practical and resourceful with demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Be resourceful with a can-do attitude.
