Job Summary

We're seeking a reliable and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Shellharbour area. As a permanent part-time employee, you'll enjoy guaranteed hours close to home.

About the Role

Your day will include:

  • Cleaning the home of older people to ensure they have a safe and beautiful living space
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities to combat loneliness
  • Delivering personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed, managing medications, assisting with mobility, and therapy goals
  • Offering respite and emotional support to customers who need it most
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing complex care for those with high needs, such as dementia

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle for travel
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems while knowing when to ask for help
  • Availability to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required
