Job Overview

The Cyber Assurance Manager plays a pivotal role in bolstering third-party security assurance frameworks. This involves spearheading impactful risk and compliance initiatives, conducting in-depth assessments, and representing Cyber Security in high-stakes negotiations with key partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop due diligence processes, conduct thorough security assessments, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CPS 234, PCI DSS, NIST, ISO27001).
  • Provide strategic security guidance by contributing to policy development, prescribing controls, and aligning frameworks with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure the effectiveness of security controls, their practicality, and their alignment with operational needs.
  • Represent Cyber Security in governance forums with key third parties, building trusted relationships and addressing critical security concerns.
  • Support operational security functions through risk assessments, impact analysis, compliance gap reviews, and timely documentation of findings.
Essential Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with proven contractor management expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and security standards including APRA CPS 234, ISO27001, and NIST.
  • Technical understanding of cloud security, banking systems, and platforms like IPS, SIEM, and WAFs.
  • Solid grasp of Windows environments, network/application security, and corporate infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and work under direction.
