About the Opportunity

At Uniting, we're committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our elderly clients. As a Home Care Professional in this role, you'll play a vital part in empowering independence and enhancing the quality of life for those in their own homes.

This is a permanent part-time position, working Monday to Friday, with flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle. You'll be based in Goonellabah and Ballina, providing essential support to our clients through various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting at Home: Help with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation to ensure our clients' daily needs are met.
  • Transport for Wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities, promoting their physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Personal Care: Provide support with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration, ensuring our clients' dignity and comfort are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, but a strong desire to begin a career in aged care is also valued.
  • You'll embody Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness, demonstrating empathy and resourcefulness in your work.
  • Flexibility is key, as you'll need to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
  • A valid Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification is required.
