Executive Assistant to the Principal

Australian Christian College (ACC) is a leading provider of Christian education, committed to developing students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. With 14 schools across five states, ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.
ACC Singleton, located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, offers programs from Prep to Year 12. The College has experienced significant growth in student numbers and improvement in student learning results in recent years. A new 18-classroom building will be constructed in 2025 to accommodate the growing student population.
About the RoleThe College is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Principal to provide efficient administrative support and role-model behaviour aligned with the College's vision and values. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day personal and professional assistance to the Principal, including maintaining the Principal's diary, managing walk-up requests, and providing a concise secretarial service for listed meetings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all staff are supported and contacted as requested
- Maintaining the College Principal's diary and managing walk-up requests
- Providing a concise secretarial service for listed meetings
- Being the contact point for agenda items, minute creation, and distribution of information for action
- Supporting the Administration Team to ensure Front Reception is a place of welcome
- Facilitating HR processes, including job applications, screening, and employee packs
- Assisting the communication and liaison of the College Executive with external agencies
- Supporting the collation of government reports and submissions
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a school setting
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Work with confidential material in a trustworthy and discerning manner
- Production of clear and accurate correspondence on behalf of the Principal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
- A high level of motivation and ability to work independently, solving problems before they become issues for the Principal
- Proficiency in the use of the Google Suite, including Sheets and Slides
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive and positive approach
- Empathy to consider the needs of families while progressing the delivery of service in a timely manner
- The ability to build strong relationships within the College and beyond
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check
