Inventory Management Role

This is a pivotal position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing the operation of our Melbourne facility. The successful candidate will ensure the site operates efficiently, safely, and compliantly while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing all inventory control responsibilities for the site, including inventory checks, cycle counting, and pick bin reconciliation against customer requirements. They will also identify inventory discrepancies, conduct thorough investigations and prepare comprehensive reports, and implement effective solutions to improve processes and systems.

  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction across a 24/7 retail logistics operation
  • Ensure agreed customer service standards are met in consultation with the Customer Relationship Manager
  • Ensure adherence to established safety policies and procedures
  • Manage inventory control responsibilities, including inventory checks, cycle counting, and pick bin reconciliation
  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and system performance

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics or transport
  • A background in retail logistics or a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-temperature operations
  • Qualifications in Logistics Management or a business discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong leadership skills, managing a large operational team
