Financial Controller

We are seeking a commercially savvy finance professional to fill a management accounting role in our organization. This position is integral to our financial team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support through cost control, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive reports (P&L, balance Sheet, sales, inventory, operations) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies.
- Conduct standard costing and variance analysis to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor production costs and implement measures to drive improvements.
- Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide insightful data to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Track capital expenditures and product development activities; maintain accurate records.
- Prepare business activity statements (BAS), fringe benefits tax (FBT), payroll tax, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), and other returns as required.
- Contribute to the improvement of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across finance and manufacturing.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs.
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable, audits, and tax compliance activities.
This is an entry-level position that requires a strong understanding of management accounting principles and procedures.
