As a vital link between Defence families and the wider community, this role plays a pivotal part in fostering connections that last a lifetime.

  • Engage with Defence families, key stakeholders, and local communities to facilitate meaningful relationships and networking opportunities.
  • Organise and coordinate social events that bring people together, promoting a sense of belonging and community spirit.
  • Utilise innovative approaches to promote and deliver Defence Members and Family Support (DMFS) programs and events.
  • Provide valuable information and advice on local community resources and services, empowering Defence families to thrive.
  • Participate in Command and Unit facilitated events for families, fostering collaboration and support.

Our team offers a comprehensive range of programmes and services designed to support Defence families. We work collaboratively to provide crisis support, guidance, referrals, and education advice, ensuring our families receive the help they need when they need it most.

We seek an individual who can leverage their initiative and communication skills to engage with Defence families and promote local community connections. Strong stakeholder engagement and event planning abilities are essential for success in this role.
