Job Title: Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Pottery Barn Kids in Bondi Junction, Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with special services, including gift wrapping, gift registry, and locating merchandise.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling returns, exchanges, and other customer requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, features, benefits, sales, and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Utilize effective selling techniques to build sales and increase productivity, achieving established sales and contest goals.
  • Assist in visual merchandising, including setting up displays, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring stockroom organization.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, adhering to store and stockroom maintenance standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in specialty retail and/or homewares, with strong client relationship skills.
  • Passion for homewares and/or food, with the ability to connect with customers through service and selling.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering world-class customer service.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to be mobile in the store and back-of-house areas, including standing for long periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and use equipment safely.
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items, up to 30kg, while utilizing proper equipment and safety techniques.
