We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the delivery of complex projects. In this role, you will oversee the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of control centres, communication networks, generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading SCADA system design and implementation
- Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance and system integration
- Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement
- Managing SCADA-related systems and documentation including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client-specific standards
You will contribute to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering and significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- RPEQ or RPEV accreditation
- Proficiency in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols
- Understanding of the Australian electricity industry and regulatory requirements
- A track record of managing risk, maintaining safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
- Experience with cyber security frameworks (AESCSF, ISA/IEC 62443) and SCADA integration with AEMO systems
